Recently I traded my car for one with Dutch registration. First it was necessary to have my car with a Dutch registration for the stand to accept it in return.
For the same be done without paying the duty and BTW have to follow the following steps:
1) has to be resident in the Netherlands there are more than six months and less than a year. This requires a role of the camera that says how long this ä in Holland and since when; You can keep your car with EU licence plate in the Netherlands for 6 months.
2) you must have a copy of the invoice of the car ;
3) you need a copy of proof of address such as a copy of the contract of rent of the house;
4) you need a copy of proof of finances that says we are no longer registered with address in the home Country.
5) you need a copy of vehicle registration;
6) is required copies of ID or passport.
After all this paperwork is necessary to go to this link and print this document, unfortunately is in dutch, fill it and send it along with all documents to the address that is in that document.
The response will be within 3-4 weeks by mail.
Then you have to move the car to a downtown area where the RDW will inspect the car, bring the original documents and identification of the car, and will have to pay around € 130. After the car to be inspected in the same place just go to the BPM counter tax and deliver the letter they received. If everything is ok, a week will receive a letter with new documents and new Dutch registration.
By now they can definitely make a new registration. Unfortunately, receive in 3-4 weeks, the road tax to pay.
Right now have to keep the car in your possession for 12 months. If you try to rent, sell or pass to someone else receive the BPM to pay plus a possible fine.

- petrol: under 110 grams of CO2 per kilometer
- Diesel: under 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer

Unfortunally for the low co2 cars this is only till 1 of January of 2014. After that you will not pay till 1 of January of 2015 if your car is below 50 co2 . See this LINK.
In the Netherlands and according to the information from a reader, it is possible to have a car with foreign registration in Holland for 6 months, but a reader informed me that if you registered as a resident in some City hall that it can only be legally for 14 days but you can ask for an extension .
The best will be to come to the Netherlands without the car and after six months bring it in or if you live in a small place make like me just ride with it, I never saw a cop.

Este imposto é para todos os carros ou só para os importados? Fiz
uma simulação e no meu caso são 1300 euros por ano, será por ser a

Relativamente ao que pergunta todos os carros com menos de 25 anos pagam imposto de entrada, os considerados clássicos nao pagam . Os a Diesel pagam mais. Eu por exemplo tenho uma carrinha volvo v70 a gasolina de 2000 e pago 190 euros de 3 em 3 meses. Pago tb de seguro de 3 em 3 meses 150 euros. Má pode durante uns meses andar c a matricula Portuguesa e n paga o impostor estrada.
Espero q o tenha esclarecido, caso tenha ainda duvidas n hesite em perguntar.

Vou partir para a holanda em Março, e queria levar o meu carro, pelo que li no ponto 1 e passo a citar
“1) tem de estar a viver na Holanda há mais de 6 meses e à menos de um ano. Para isto é necessário um papel da câmara que diga ä quanto tempo esta na Holanda e desde quando;”
Posso então levar, sem problemas, o meu carro e só regista-lo passado 6 meses? Não tenho de tratar dos papeis antes de partir para a holanda?

essa de não pagar CO2 também era novidade para mim ms parece que realmente é assim mas vou verificar se em 2013 nada mudou porque desde Janeiro os impostos aumentaram aqui na Holanda e regalias foram tiradas então talvez isso tenha mudado.
Isso dos 6 meses é correcto. Pelo que eu li e me informaram podes andar com a matricula Portuguesa durante seis meses, depois disso tens de mudar para a Holandesa, ve este link
Por isso acho que é optimo trazeres o carro contigo e sao menos despesas.
Qq coisa mais pergunta, depois entro em contacto se tiver mais informaçao sobre o assunto.

Posted by Sérgio (Admin) | February 13, 2013, 09:46Olá Sérgio, estive agora a retirar informação da internet sobre isto mesmo e pode circular na Holanda durante 6 meses com carro de matricula estrangeira se não estiver registado numa Gemeente. Caso contrário, apenas tem a pedido, uma isenção de 14 dias e depois terá de devolver o carro ao país de origem, ou pagar os impostos relativos a ele.
